Universal Air Ducts - Instructions
Installation Instructions for Cold Air Feed Kit
Tools and Materials Needed:
Drill with up to a 50mm hole saw
Drill bits for M8 bolts (bolts included in the kit)
Allen key or wrench (for securing fixings)
50mm ducting hose (not included)
Jubilee clips (not included)
Cable ties (included in kit)
Step 1: Prepare Your Vehicle
Ensure your vehicle is on a stable and level surface.
Safely jack up the car and secure it with axle stands. Do not work under an unsupported vehicle.
Remove the front wheels & brake discs for easier access to the lower control arms and brake dust shields.
Step 2: Attach the Cold Air Feeds to the Lower Control Arms
Position the cold air feeds along the lower control arms. Adjust their placement to achieve the best angle for air intake without interference with moving parts.
Use the included cable ties to securely fasten the feeds to the control arms.
Ensure the feeds are firmly secured and won’t interfere with suspension movement or steering.
Trim any excess length from the cable ties.
Step 3: Prepare and Mount the Receiver Plates
Locate the rear side of the brake dust shields where the receiver plates will be mounted.
Using up to 50mm hole saw, drill a hole in the dust shield to align with the receiver plate opening.
Ensure the hole is clean and properly centered for optimal airflow.
Drill four mounting holes for the M8 bolts that will secure the receiver plate.
Double-check the plate’s alignment before drilling.
Attach the receiver plates to the dust shields using the included M8 bolts and fixings.
Tighten securely and ensure the plates are properly positioned for efficient airflow.
Step 4: Connect the Ducting Hose (Not Included)
Attach a 50mm ducting hose to the outlets of the cold air feeds.
Use jubilee clips (not included) to secure the ducting hose to the outlets tightly.
Route the ducting hose to the receiver plates on the brake dust shields.
Avoid sharp bends or kinks to maintain airflow efficiency.
Secure the ducting hose along the routing path to prevent it from moving or interfering with other components.
Use jubilee clips to attach the other end of the ducting to the receiver plates.
Step 5: Final Checks
Ensure all components are securely attached and clear of moving parts.
Double-check the alignment of the cold air feeds, ducting hose, and receiver plates for optimal airflow.
Reinstall the front wheels and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
Important Notes:
Test the setup after installation to ensure there’s no interference during suspension travel or steering.
Regularly inspect the installation for wear and tear, especially after track use or rough driving conditions.
Always ensure compatibility with your specific vehicle before installation.
